#I don’t get romanticizing time periods guys #like #no #you don’t actually want to live in the 1930s #racism and sexism were far more commonplace and violent #you can still find old style theaters today #you can still smoke non filtered cigarettes #you can wear vintage clothing if you like it #you’re wishing for something that never existed #a Hollywood romanticized idea of a time period you’d probably hate living in #you wouldn’t know James Cagney just because you were alive in 1931 #but hey to each his own I guess
